The body can produce enough heat in just half an hour to boil water.
Each hour, the human body creates 350,000 joules of energy, which creates the same amount of energy as a 100-watt light bulb. This ends up being enough heat to boil a half gallon of water in just 30 minutes.
The body tightly regulates the body temperature through a process called thermoregulation, in which the body can maintain its temperature within certain boundaries, even when the surrounding temperature is very different.
Love God, Hate Evil
"Hold not thy peace, O God of my praise;
For the mouth of the wicked and the mouth of the deceitful are opened against me: they have spoken against me with a lying tongue.
They compassed me about also with words of hatred; and fought against me without a cause.
For my love they are my adversaries: but I give myself unto prayer.
And they have rewarded me evil for good, and hatred for my love."
— Psalm 109:1-5
National Freedom Day
National Freedom Day is observed in the United States on February 1st honouring the signing by President Abraham Lincoln of a joint House and Senate resolution that was later ratified as the 13th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.
President Lincoln signed the Amendment abolishing slavery on February 1, 1865. The 13th Amendment to the United States Constitution freed more than 100,000 enslaved people when it was adopted on December 18, 1865. National Freedom Day was proclaimed by President Harry S. Truman almost 100 years later.
